A church for Laveen
Praise of Pentecost is a dynamic church plant located a few miles west of Laveen Village and is home to folks from all across the south Phoenix area – including South Mountain Village, Laveen Village, Estrella Village, Tolleson, Cashion, Ahwatukee Foothills Village and beyond.
The diversity of our congregation is a reflection of the rich tapestry of cultures that call the Valley home. Folks of different races, nationalities & ethnicities – from all walks of life, cultures & backgrounds – young and old – and across the full spectrum of socio-economic means – find they feel at home in our church family. This is the church where YOU belong!
About the Laveen Village area
For folks who may be new to the Valley, or not familiar with Phoenix – the area has grown tremendously over the last two decades.
Laveen Village is the area west from 27th ave, past the 202 freeway, to around 83rd Avenue. Bordering the Estrella Village region, extending from the Salt River south to the base of South Mountain connecting to Ahwatukee Foothills Village, and expands the south-western-most reach of the south Phoenix area nearly to the Gila River/Estrella Mountain.
Home to the expansive Cesar Chavez Park, and a number of other beautiful recreational parks including Trailside Point Park, Manzanita Park, and Laveen Village Park.
Traveling to the church from the Laveen area
If you’re driving over from the nearby southwestern areas of Phoenix including Avondale & Buckeye you can take Baseline Rd, Southern Ave, or Buckeye Rd east to 7th Ave, turn left (north) on 7th ave and drive north to Southgate Ave.
Turn left on Southgate and the church is about halfway down the street on the north side. Driving takes around 10 minutes.

Praise of Pentecost is a Pentecostal church where you’ll experience Spirit-filled praise & worship, anointed Pentecostal preaching, the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, answered prayers, healings, liberty from addictions and all manner of miracles!
