Estrella Village Church
Praise of Pentecost is a dynamic church plant serving the community of Estrella Village. Our church is home to folks from all across the south Phoenix area – including South Mountain Village, Laveen Village, Estrella Village, Tolleson, Cashion, Ahwatukee Foothills Village – and beyond.
The diversity of our congregation is a reflection of the rich tapestry of cultures that call the Valley home. Folks of different races, nationalities & ethnicities – from all walks of life, cultures & backgrounds – young and old – and across the full spectrum of socio-economic means – find they feel at home in our church family. This is the church where YOU belong!
About the Estrella Village area
The Estrella Village region is a very close neighbor to South Mountain Village and Laveen Village and is often included when folks refer to the greater ‘south Phoenix’ region.
Sharing a border with Tolleson in the west, and Maryvale to the north, Estrella Village is nestled south of the I10 freeway, and north of the Salt River. Stretched across 3 separate zip codes (85009, 85043 and 85353) Estrella extends from 19th ave/i17 curve west to 107th avenue.
Estrella is home to over 100,000 residents (>75% family homes) and some great schools, and a number of beautiful parks including Willow Park, Santa Maria Park, and Sunridge Park.
Traveling to the church from Estrella Village
Take the nearest avenue south to Broadway (Martin Luther King Jr Blvd), and go east on Broadway to 7th Ave, north on 7th to Southgate Ave.
Turn left on Southgate and we’re located about halfway down on the right side. Driving takes 5-15 minutes.
